São Paulo is the state with the largest number of fuel stations in Brazil, accounting for about 20 percent of the fuel stations in the country. Minas Gerais followed in number stations, with a total of 4,742 units. These are also the two states with the largest population in the South American country. By comparison, Amapá had the least amount of fuel stations, with 122 units. That year, there were a total of 43,266 fuel stations in Brazil
